Into The Night
Today was pretty eventful, played football in the morning for like 45 minutes cos it rained and yeahh we had to stop luh.. Anyway it was quite good!! Scored a goal which I really didn't wanna score hahahah wth right?
Lunched at J8, had Pepper Lunch yum yum!!
Went for a small Cat Class reunion at 4.15ish. Only like one third of the class turned up man!! But anyway it was great seeing everybody and catching up on all those years that have gone by and all.. Hahaha had dinner at Fish & Co. just chilled and killed time!
Work tomorrow and omg I don't wanna go man, I wanna sleep and sleep and run and run and get my pink IC back!!!
He walked down the steps in a downward spiral, the silence resonating through the stale air, no life, no light, no mortal had set foot in this place for a long time. The deeper he ventured, the more he realised that this was indeed the place where it all began.
With every step he took, the weight of the world pressed hard on his wearied shoulders. A burden no man should have to bear by himself. Yet he did.
Bent but not broken. Forsaken yet not alone, fear a distant echo, perhaps of a past life. A life where things actually mattered. However, in the state he was in, he wouldn't know death if it stabbed him in the eye.
Cold, so cold his heart, seeking refuge in the eye of a storm. Visions of failure raced through his mind like a hurricane, the screams and cries of the abandoned and despairing resonating through his veins.
Then he stopped, and the dust and gravel of the floor scrapped under his boot as he reached the end of his journey.
But does any journey ever end? It is always just a transition to another path, another road, another battle, another war. More lives to be lost, more blood to be shed.
More misery and heartache for his tormented soul.
Still, he carried his burden slowly toward the faint distant light.
